Moxie (Vintage BIB)

A not-so-innocent pearly white. Wave your hand at that cute Steve Carrell-ish guy across the room and layers of gold sparks will fly from your fingers. You’ll find that the seat next to you will quite suddenly be taken.

Reviewer: Lorraine (San Francisco, CA)

Dear Moxie, Is there anything you can't do? Sure you look great on your own with your mesmerizing milky golden glow that sparkles like nobody's business. But since you have been begging to come out and play, I see endless possibilities- funky french tips, the base of a half moon mani with a vampy deep color, layering with sheers, brightening cremes, and nail art accents. Thinking I may need a back up soon. With love, Your fangirl

When I'd first heard about Moxie (2009), it had been long discontinued, but I needed it! I tracked it down and when I got it on my fingers, it was nothing but love! Definitely one of my favorites from RBL.

This polish was my first RBL polish...and my favorite. As soon as I saw the picture of the bottle, I knew I had to have it. It looked like bottled candlelight, and on my fingers it did not disappoint!! In sunlight it looks like a pure, glowing white with a hint of gold. In shade it looks like the very heart of a candle's flame, or the fancy kind of gilded plaster you might find in an 18th century French drawing room. It is elegance itself, and I have never seen anything like it. I'm so pleased that I have a backup bottle on order. This is a color that would look marvelous on every skintone. I am very pale (NW15) and it looks amazing on me, but I have heard it also looks incredible on darker skin tones!

I wanted Moxie so badly, and it has surpassed my expectations. On me, it doesn't look like white with gold shimmer; it just looks like the most beautiful opaque super-pale gold. A very understated and classy neutral, not flashy or blingy. Love.

Gorgeous golden white. I love layering it over other colors. Just one coat allows the bottom color to show through but with an amazing transformation from Moxie. Or two coats on it's own..wait..what's that? I didn't hear you, I was staring at my nails :)

I hesitated to buy this color when it came back in stock and now that I have it, I have no idea why. It honestly looks as if it is glowing softly on your finger tips (or toes). It applied like a dream and was completely opaque in two light coats.

I bought this polish at first because I wanted to complete the BiB set. Then I started reading other peoples opinions on it and I believe the comment "sunset on snow" was made to describe it. I totally agree. This polish is like nothing else I own. As soon as I tried it I never wanted to take it off. It is white in some lights, silvery in others, and gold in others. It is truly one-of-a-kind.
