hey, where'd that shimmer go?! One doesn't have to look super closely to know Piu Mosso has something special going on. Lots of special things actually. First: the base color. This is not just navy blue, I would call it ink blue. Yes, It's almost black, but that's okay with me because its not trying to be bright. It's meant to look deep and mysterious. Just like the storm that inspired it. As for the shimmer, its not meant to be "in your face", but when it does appear, its unlike any other polish I own. Well except for other RBLs: It's a hybrid. Kinda like how there are "jelly creams" like Bikini Bottom and Starfish Patrick. Piu Mosso is a "shimmer cream" ... So is Insouciant and Poco a Poco. The shimmer is always there but it can appear as a cream with depth and a glassy finish. Ji has mastered this finish. It's an RBL signature now. Everyone knows RBL makes the BEST creams.... But the Hide and seek shimmers are AWESOME!! I already have a backup of this bad girl. Piu Mosso rocks!

This polish is S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G. I've never seen such a beautiful, unique "navy" as this one. I put navy in quotes, because i usually think of navy as somewhat flat. This is NOT that. This has a multi-faceted depth to it that is truly undupeable (yes, i just made up a word). The "hidden" shimmer is not invisible as some reviews have said. If you know anything about color and light, you know that what we perceive as color has everything to do with light. And that is what makes this (and most of Ji's polishes) so brilliant. They are chameleons that change with the light. In certain lights the shimmer is very evident, in other lights it is more subtle. When the shimmer is obvious it adds a little sparkle, when it's acting more demure it adds to the polish's unique depth. I think this color is genius.

I know a lot of people were disappointed with the fact that the orange shimmer was too subtle. And although I do wish the shimmer was more noticeable, I still absolutely love this! It is opaque in one coat, and it looks so chic on the nails. The orange shimmer is best seen when you apply a top coat on the nails, so make sure you do that. And in the shade, it does look just navy, but I love the fact that it can transform in looks from a shimmer into a creme depending on the lighting. I especially am loving this on my toes!
I love this polish so much, I even had to buy a backup!

Piu Mosso is a navy that is so unique! I definitely see the orange shimmer in every light, whether indoors or out. What I really love is how amazing the application is. The color is so pigmented that if you are really careful, this is a one coat wonder polish!

I was lemming this polish for SO long, and when I finally got, it was my biggest disappointment ever! There is absolutely no orange shimmer....just a basic navy color that looks black indoors.
I paid $27 (including shipping) for this color, and I expected SO much more!
If they made a polish that truly looked like this, complete with vibrant orange shimmer, I think it would sell out in a day!

I, like other reviewers, thought that the shimmer would be more apparent on the nail. It looks like a flat, basic navy on the nail. So over the "hidden shimmer". I want real life actual shimmer! I also found the same issue that another reviewer found, which was it dulls extremely quickly.

This is the color I was most excited for in this collection, although I really don't know if it's my favorite now that I have them. It's very pretty and I appreciate it most with a fresh top coat in the sunlight. Once it gets scuffed or comes in contact with too much lotion or makeup, it really dulls the color and hides the shimmer. For best results, I say keep it clean and reapply top coat every day or two.

This is definitely my favourite Firebird - apllication was like a dream, if applied carefully you only need 1 coat! The orange/copper shimmer is truly beautiful, and even though it is most prominent in the sunshine you can see bits of the shimmer without sunlight as well! My favourite blue polish!!

i really don't know what to say other than that. the formula is unbelievable., it almost applied itself - it was that effortless
the only possible shred of a complaint i could have, is i wish the orange shimmer was a little more noticeable in incandescent lighting - but that's pretty minor imo.
this one is a total hit for me ♡
