Reviewer: Kristina, Lover of polish (Saint Charles, MO)

This polish is a gorgeous cross between dusty plum and dusty brown. It's unlike any other polish I own, and I own a lot ;) It is glossy, one-coat goodness and is a neutral with an edge. I paired a Bruised pedi with a Plie mani and it was fabulous...get a bottle while it's still available!

Reviewer: Jennifer (Winston-Salem, NC)

The title says it all. I love this color, and now that it's back I bought a couple extra bottles. I know it doesn't look it, but this can be an incredible NEUTRAL for the girl who's sick of nude or hot cocoa-colored polishes and is dying for something a bit edgier. It goes with everything in my closet, because of its ability to lean plum or brown depending on what's near it, what lighting it's under, and the like. It looks great with floral dresses and my business type clothes, as well as my jeans and leather jackets. I wear this everywhere, including to work - granted, my workplace is not super conservative, but I think even if yours is, you could get away with Bruised there. I feel kind of stupid because I have a HUGE nail polish stash, but lately I just keep reaching for Bruised!

This color is so beautiful, it's hard to describe. It's a muted plummy brown, but that's not really an accurate description of the appearance. Just know it's lovely. It's dark enough to have a little edge, but also not so dark that it seems almost black. While I do love black (hello, Insouciant!) and other super-dark colors, they're not always something you can wear. Bruised is one of my new favorites and I just ordered a back-up bottle in case it sells out soon! Oh, almost forgot - the formula is spectacular. It will cover in one coat if need be; it glides on and smooths out wonderfully.

I would have to say that this is the color of a chocolate raisin on my brown (NC42) skin. I love it. It does not look out of place when wearing it in the Spring. However, I work in a semi-conservative SF office so it blends right in. I am glad it's back and it was well worth the wait!

So glad that Bruised is back! It's one of those hard to describe colors because it really is both plum and brown at the same time. Not too light or too dark. Not too thin or too thick. Everything about this polish is "just right." I would consider this a work-appropriate neutral. I'm reminded of two things when I look at my Bruised mani: rum raisins and raspberry truffles. Any color that makes me think of chocolate desserts is a win in my book!

I purchased this color immediately when it came out and am absolutely in love! It is the perfect brown/plum/burgundy color...not to dark or light, but just right. I have fair-medium skin and it looks simply stunning on. I highly recommend!!

I love Bruised. I did my last pedicure with it and could not be happier. Its the perfect marriage of plum and the slightest tinge of brown, with plum being dominant. Of course the consistency and application were what I expect from every bottle of RBL polish....amazing! I can see wearing this particular color with almost everything.

I have pretty short nails and fingers; some how this polish really elongated my nails and fingers. My mom even noticed and she is not a big fan of colored nail polish. The color so pretty and unique.

Although it is COMPLETELY different than it looks on-line, I love this color! It is the perfect polish for Fall... sort of a plummy brown: just enough plum that it is dramatic, but not so dark that it loses it's personality. (I hate that so many plum polishes look almost black in the dark!)

I love this color. Unexpectedly edgy. Is it brown or purple? Don't know but whichever it is, it is gorgeous. I work for a think-tank and found that it is a color that can go from my conservative days into my not-so-conservative nights. Often times trendier colors tend to come off a bit too bold and borderline obnoxious. Bruised is the perfect marriage of high fashion and elegant style.
