Awesome color for summer! , 6.15.2011

I picked this up on a whim because the polish hoarder in me had to have it. I wasn't quite sure if I would love it when I bought it, but as soon as I put it on I wished I had bought another bottle! Gorgeous color, and even though I usually don't like sheer polishes, I don't care with this one because the color is so pretty. Great for summer and paired with Bikini Bottom on the toes (or another pastel blue) it makes for a great summer mani/pedi. I am currently wearing Starfish Patrick and have been for days-- I don't want to take it off!

Can I just say that I've completely underestimated how incredibly chic Starfish Patrick is until now? I don't know what provoked me to buy a bottle for myself, but I am SO happy I did. It brings the coolest, most unexpected pop of color to any outfit. It pairs perfectly with the colors already in my wardrobe, lightening up my grays and navys beautifully and even offsetting colors like the deepest eggplant and dusty shades of blue. It's the ideal hue to reach for when you want something fun and feminine that isn't too bold or come-hither. Not to mention, it applies like a dream and is fully saturated at two coats. At the rate I'm going, I'm going to have to nab a backup bottle soon. I am quite the smitten kitten!

I'm so glad I got the chance to get this color. Every time I look at my nails, it reminds me of a fresh cantaloupe -- soft and pretty but not too pastel -- just right. It makes my hands glow!

    Playful Pop of Peach, 4.26.2011

Starfish-P is described as sheer so I didn't presume the standard opacity of RBL's cremes when I used this one. What I didn't expext was to LOVE it at 2 coats! I thought I would need 3 or 4 to be satisfied with the color payoff. I applied my coats a lil thick, but I waited until the first coat was dry before adding the second. No streaks whatsoever. Perfect for Spring or Summer. I will be quite sad when I finish this bottle.

Such a beautiful, creamy, delicate peachy-pink. This is one of my go-to Spring shades, and like all RBL polishes, wears beautifully.

Requires several coats on me because I can't stand VNL (visible nail line) but it's worth it. This is a beautiful shade and unique - I don't think you'll find a dupe for it.
But it is definitely an orange color. I'd suggest calibrating your monitor before ordering NP (or anything else where color is important) online. On my laptop, the shade I'm seeing is exactly what I got...a soft squishy sort of milky coral jelly...but monitors can be wildly off when it comes to color.
Also helpful is Nailgal.com which has photos of polishes on actual nails and in different lighting.

This is just orange orange orange!! Not the pinky coral pictured on the RBL website. A very unflattering shade and not what I was expecting at all.

This colour goes on smoothly, with excellent coverage for a sheer polish - no streaks, which is a first for me. It builds nicely if you want to make it more opaque.

Read the description, this is more coral than pictured ;), 4.21.2009

The description listed is a dead ringer for this color, although it looks more pink in the photo. My picky boyfriend chooses this one for me to wear when I'm indecisive!
