    Squishy Yellow!, 7.27.2011

This is such a great yellow option. Most yellows are way too hard to apply, or they're not very forgiving. But this one goes on so smoothly, and I never get bubbles, not even after three coats. The color itself is stunning. The exact color of spongebob, my kid recognizes it as so. It's like watery lemon milk. I'd just make sure your cuticles are A+ especially if you had a darker color on previously.

I wanted to jump on the yellow trend but chose SqP instead of Yellow Fever - figured I would try subtle first. Exactly the look I was trying to achieve. Reminds me of banana cream pudding pie! It's a cool-toned yellow but it doesn't clash with my olive/warm skin. Will probably look even better with a tan. Square Pants was an absolute dream to apply... I used the Triple Treatment System and went up to 4 coats but there wasn't a streak insight. People say RBLs apply "smooth like butter" and this mellow yellow takes it literally - Got Butter? ;)

'Square Pants' is a very sheer, buttery lemon color. The color is quite sheer, but the application is smooth and lovely. Unfortunately, when I applied it on my nails it made them look like they were stained yellow from wearing too much polish all the time. This was not remedied by adding multiple coats. Definitely not for me. (Skintone: Around NC30 - NC35 but can be more greenish-yellow tinged depending on weather.)

I was really hoping that I could rock this yellow color from the positive reviews but I found that it really brought out my yellow undertones and made my nails look jaundiced. The formula was more sheer than any of the other RBL polishes and was not what I was expecting. I can see other ladies wearing it though- just be sure to use 3 coats.

Try it with a gold shimmer polish on top for a different look!

I just bought this a week ago and I love it! It's the most beautiful yellow I've seen. Everything else is either too bright or not the yellow shade I'd like. I applied 1 top coat, 3 colour coats, 1 base coat. It's been 4 days and they are in perfect condition still (and I work with children with autism 5 days a week!!!!). The top/base coats are from OPI.

At first I was disappointed, but after I used RBL base coat and applied it using short, quick and even strokes with enough amount of polish on the brush... I felt for it!!
It is NOT an opaque creamy formula! Three thin coats is my perfect amount for a very chic e modern look :)
