RBL's Black Russian if vamp-tastic goodness in bottle! I'm all about the sultry deep shades pretty much year round, but especially during the winter months. Black Russian was right up my alley and total love from the 1st coat. This polish applies like a dream and looks mysterious, sultry without venturing into the "gothic" territory. This wears beautifully! Another much loved RBL polish in my growing stash! Pure love!

I love how this polish looks in the bottle, but once I get it on my nail all the pretty red sparkles kind of disappear =( The formula is smooth and creamy and I love it! But it's just another black for me...

Sparkly shots of brilliant red drifting lazily in a sea of reddish-black is what I think of every time I see this gorgeous polish in the bottle and on my nails. Like Under The Stars the color impact is hard-hitting yet sophisticated enough to let you shine. If you have red undertones in your skin this polish will bring them out beautifully.
This is opaque in one coat but I like intensity so I went for two. Goes on smooth without issue. I used the treatment system with this polish and I believe RBL polishes apply even better when you use the system.

I think I felt my heart skip a beat after I applied Black Russian. It's seriously that gorgeous... and to think that I had never worn black polish before. Indoors, the ruby sparkle is subtle, but in the sun, this baby twinkles deep within. I used to be hesitant to wear any vampy colors but this one has a special glow that has me craving all things dark and beautiful. I always read that black polish looks sophisticated... Black Russian takes that elegance up a notch.

This is unlike anything I've ever seen by any brand. Don't be fooled by the black...all the suspended red almost gives it a deep wine character. This polish has amazing depth. Non-stop compliments when I wear it!

How I love this polish sooooo much!!! I swear it applied itself and the color...the color!!! It's not your ordinary black polish, the red shimmer makes it so spectacular. It's one of my new favorite nail polishes of ALL TIME!!! I'm gonna need back ups of this gorgeous polish.

I was a little hesitant about purchasing this color after reading some people's reviews about it being really black, with not much red oomph, but I'm glad I did because this color is simply stunning!! The way Ji describes it is dead on...it's a black, with luscious layers of ruby red flecks, which really stand out in the light. I highly recommend buying it, because it is simply gorgeous and no other color out there is anything like it, especially if you love dark shades, but want to try something different!!

This is the polish that started my RBL mania. I saw it a few months ago on the Temptalia blog and fell in love. Absolutely in love, and went hunting for it-- only to discover that it was LE and sold out! Then enter Ji's Bring it Back-- I am now proud owner of TWO bottles of this polish. even before trying it on my nails for myself, I knew I had to have a back up bottle. Now that I've actually worn it, I know I was right. This is a stunning, sophisticated better-than-black polish. The description nailed it when it described it as Goth all Grown up. I can't stop staring at my nails when I wear this. LOVE!!!!!

I was concerned with some of the less than great reviews and some of the "swatches" I'd seen on blogs and such... Fortunately, they're wrong! Indoors it looks like black with subtle red glitter, in the sunlight it shines with a perfect burgundy red shimmer which is only enhanced by the glitter. I've been searching for a black that shines red and this is even better! Don't be fooled by blog photos, I found it impossible to really capture this color with an iPhone snapshot, you have to see it in person! Anyone want my "Lubu Heels" by China Glaze? I have no use for it now!

After I read about this color in W Magazine over 4 years ago, I ran specifically to their (old) location on Centre (or Grand St). It has been my signature color for about the same amount of time. It is so intensely dark. If there is anything people should learn about nail polish it's this: the color is always different on the nails than it appears in the bottle. It is the most elegant and beautiful color I've ever seen, and used to this day.
