I was hoping for a deep purple black polish. But with two coats, this is a deep dark burgundy color. I would probably need three coats to make this close to black. I did not find the application as smooth as other Rescue Beauty polishes.

I've always had an issue with black nail polish; I loved the edge it gave to an outfit, but it always seemed too juvenile. RBL to the rescue (ha ha)!! Film Noir is the chic older sister of black nail polish. At first glance it appears black, but one can still see its deep purple undertones. Sophisticated, edgy and glamorous. I'm dying to try it matte!

Film Noir is one of my favorite polishes. Don't be fooled by how dark the picture looks, you can still tell this shade has red undertones whether you're indoors or outdoors. The application is very easy and you only need two coats. Long lasting too!
