I have been in search for certain mushroomy/taupe color that would go well with my skin tone (I wear an NC35 in Mac cosmetics foundation) and Grunge is the perfect shade for me! This makes my nails look edgy an sophisticated. I hope Ji never stops making this color because it is perfection. Applies opaque in one coat and that's always a plus! Thanks for creating this shade, Ji!!

Favorite polish of all time. It is edgy but in an effortless sort of way. It is also work appropriate that is why I love it even more. Needless to say, my co workers have been asking me what color it is. I enjoy the part, especially, when I tell them, "oh it's called Grunge!" hehehe! So cool!!

I want everything in my life to be as chic and edgy as this color. It is fabulous. I am still getting use to the RBL application. I'm so use to runny, thin polishes that require 3 coats. This color was opaque and beautiful with 2 coats.

I wore Grunge last week for my son's wedding to compliment my purple gown. This polish was stunning and different and brought out lovely tones in my pale skin. So many women had pro manicures done for the wedding and although I did my own, my color looked better and lasted longer than theirs did! My nails looked like glass, and the wear is excellent. To top it off, this color is one that stands out in a sea of bland French Manicures. I'm gushing, and this polish deserves it!

I hope they never stop making this cause it's gorgeous on! I honestly had my doubts in pictures and descriptions. Even when I got it I didn't think I'd like it too much. But after wearing it, I changed my mind! Not only is it great on my medium skin tone, I got so many compliments and women asking me where I got it from! Of course some thought the $18 price tag wasn't worth it, but everytime I see this on my nails I just feel content knowing they look good.

Attractive, But Not An Attention Getter, 9.12.2009

This is my second review of the five RBLs I recently purchased. Of the five, hands down, Stormy was my favorite. I wore if for a few days, but was dying to move on with a new color. Grunge was my next application. It went on like a dream. It's not like any color I've worn before and I think it could be a "go to" color when I'm feeling indecisive, but it just didn't pop for me. This morning I biked down to the local nail salon and had the tech repaint my nails with Stormy. Even she commented on the beautiful color. Made three stops on the way home and at every point, my nails were noticed. I think the point that I'm trying to make is that this is a great new neutral that I'll enjoy, but it certainly isn't a "wow" color.

There's something about this mushroomy, taupe color that's difficult to describe. Like all RBLs, Grunge lasted me ages, was opaque in two coats, and perfectly applied (hi, Ji, I'm so spoiled by these), but there's something about Grunge that holds a special place in my heart. When painted on, it looks like somebody covered up black or something equally dark and vampy with a very pale, creamy, muted pink, and gives off that same aura: barely-covered acceptability. I love that I can get away with wearing it everywhere and still have it noticed at the exact same time.

This is my favorite color of all nail polishes. So pretty on all skin tones. I get so many compliments every time I wear this polish. RBL polishes in general go on smoothly and the layers are thin. I can use 2-3 coats of RBL with a base coat and a top coat and it will look like 1 thin perfectly covered coat.
