I was amazed at the wear I got with this matte topcoat! When I first got it, I was so thrilled that I tore open the box and put it on right then and there- over my existing manicure. Then I oohed and ahhed, as it looked beautiful; like sea glass. Then I decided to do a little test to see how it fared- I left it on. It lasted for 5 days! (Remember-this was over a non RBL (although still "3 free") basecoat, polish, and shiny topcoat- all of the things you're not supposed to do!) I did dishes! I used hand lotion! It became a little more velvety/satiny by the end of the 4th day, but it still looked awesome. It probably would have continued to be fine, but I wanted to change my polish. So even under non optimal conditions, this stuff rocks!
And what a money saver! I can turn any of my polishes into "matte" polish instead of having to get a dedicated single polish! I have continued experimenting, and you can really create some gorgeous effects with duo chrome and glitter polishes! Plus, you can make just parts of your nail matte, if you have a steady hand. I want to try a half moon manicure with matte and shine instead of two colors. (That will be a no caffeine day.)
I'll let you know how it lasts when done by the book... I am SO VERY IMPRESSED! A++++
